Songwriting By Machin & McClure

Margaret McClure and Andy Machin have been working together for almost three years now. In that short span of time, they have been able to create a unique, modern, and marketable sound. They are both very focused, creative and driven individuals. McClure and Machin live and breathe music, absolutely. Because of that drive and talent, they are quickly emerging as one of the top new pop rock-country crossover songwriting teams.
Margaret is a native of Southern A.K.A. The "red head surf chick". She has had a successful solo career with years of performance and writing experience behind her. As a teenager, McClure started her performance career as the first violinist in the Orange County District Orchestra, however and unfortunately, for the orchestra, she preferred Bluegrass and Punk Rock. One McClure's specialties are combining style elements to create a familiar yet original sound. She has a never-ending supply of lyrical and musical ideas and brings her unique female emotional perspective, intellectual sense of humor as well as a modern feel for adding her own "cool" to the songs. McClure's distinctive vocal's stand out with her edgy modern lyrical style.
Andy, born in San Antonio, Texas, A.K.A. "monkey boy", holds a degree in engineering as well as music from U.C.S.D. He ignored the traditional route and spent a big part of his youth touring in various bands. Machin now owns and operates a successful Southern California recording studio. He produces, records, and mixes many a broad spectrum of artists and bands. To add to his impressive resume, Machin has written and recorded several independent movie soundtracks. He is a versatile writer and is well known for his incredible skill as a songwriter, musical arranger, engineer and guitarist. He also excels on bass, percussion, keyboards and vocals, not to mention being a giant in the world of nerds.
The songs of McClure and Machin are getting rave reviews from critics and winning many awards everywhere on the web, including being featured on Broadjam.com and then winning last year's Broadjam's Songwriting 6-Pack Competition, American Idol Underground, and can be heard on "The Local Show Live."_
Seventhings music has been placed on MTV's "My Super Sweet 16", "Taquita and Kaui" and "Making The Band 4", including the primetime network show "Access Hollywood." They have also had placements on VH1's "Best Week Ever" PBS's "Road Trip Nation" and most recently have been featured on the Lifetime network movie "She Drives Me Crazy."
McClure and Machin like to keep up their performing skills by playing all their songs live as much as possible. You can find them trying out new material at venues throughout Southern California, often showcasing new artists they're developing. They are a dynamic, modern, friendly, writing team.
